I am an NYC-based wine, sake, and travel writer for consumer publications such as Decanter, Imbibe,Fortune, Conde Nast Traveler, Wine Enthusiast, NPR, and Hemispheres, as well as the wine trade publication SevenFifty Daily and VinePair Pro. Check out my Published Work page for my full portfolio.
My interest in wine began while working as a marketing manager in the fashion industry. Captivated by a wine at dinner one night, I started taking courses, first just recreationally, and later with serious intention. Today I hold a Level 3 Advanced certification from Wine and Spirits Education Trust.
An interest in sake came later. After visiting breweries while on my honeymoon in Japan (very romantic, I assure you) I began studying sake in earnest and am now a Certified Sake Sommelier through the Sake School of America.
In July 2020, I was shortlisted for the 2020 Louis Roederer International Wine Writers’ Awards and in 2021 was named one of the Top Wine Writers for Wineries to Work With by Beverage Trade Network.
I’ve served as both a judge and a writing mentor at the TEXSOM International Wine Awards. In addition, I’ve spoken on panels at the London Wine Fair and the Oklahoma State Wine Forum about mental health and wellness, and diversity in the wine industry, respectively.
In addition to my freelance journalism and content work with industry clients, I wrote 150 Vineyards You Need To Visit Before You Die, and am a contributing author to the book Bucket List Wine.
